Job Title: Mining Manager
Duty Station: Kabanga Site, Tanzania
Roster: 6 Weeks On / 3 Weeks Off (6/3)
Position Summary
The Mining Manager will lead the strategic transition of the underground mining asset from project development into full production operations.
The role initially focuses on project delivery, including contractor mobilization, Boxcut establishment, and decline development. It later transitions into commissioning and operational management involving ventilation systems, backfill plants, infrastructure handovers, and underground mining operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing technical services teams, implementing safe working procedures, managing operational performance, and ensuring compliance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project and Construction Phase
The Mining Manager will:
- Lead underground mining contractor mobilization
- Manage workforce and equipment deployment
- Oversee Boxcut establishment and mining infrastructure development
- Supervise decline development activities
- Coordinate ventilation shaft installation
- Manage establishment of backfill plants
Commissioning and Operational Phase
The successful candidate will:
- Build and manage the technical services department
- Lead mine engineering, geology, and survey teams
- Coordinate EPCM and operational mining interfaces
- Establish and audit underground mining procedures and SOPs
- Manage stopping and backfilling schedules
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and localization standards

Qualifications
