Position Details

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining embassy facilities to ensure safety, efficiency, and functionality. Duties include:
- Conducting regular inspections of embassy premises.
- Ensuring health and safety standards are maintained.
- Performing routine maintenance and repairs.
- Managing emergency maintenance issues and contingency plans.
- Supervising cleanliness and maintenance of interior and exterior facilities.
- Coordinating repairs and maintenance with service providers and vendors.
- Overseeing building projects and renovation works.
- Maintaining records of utilities such as electricity, water, generator, and solar systems.
- Preparing maintenance and safety reports for management.
- Ensuring furniture, fittings, and facilities remain in excellent condition.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Advanced Level Certificate of Education, Diploma, or VETA Certificate.
- Advanced knowledge and practical skills in plumbing, electrical systems, mechanics, and general building maintenance.
- At least five years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Kiswahili.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Ability to use repair tools and perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy equipment.
- Legal right to reside and work permanently in Tanzania.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with experience working for embassies, international organizations, reputable hotels, serviced properties, or large companies will have an added advantage.
Salary and Benefits
The successful candidate will receive:
- Competitive annual salary of TSH 33,876,031 (pro-rated for the contract period).
- 13th-month salary benefit.

The position follows a standard work schedule of Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, totaling 38 hours per week.
