The Zanzibar Fighting Against Youth Challenges Organization (ZAFAYCO) is inviting qualified and motivated residents of Zanzibar to apply for various positions under the World Bank-funded Economic Inclusion of Women and Youth Project. These opportunities are aimed at strengthening project implementation and contributing to economic empowerment initiatives targeting women and youth across Zanzibar.
Successful candidates will join a dedicated Project Implementation Unit (PIU) responsible for delivering impactful interventions and ensuring the successful achievement of project objectives.
Available Positions
1. Project Coordinator (1 Post)
The Project Coordinator will provide overall leadership, management, and coordination of the Project Implementation Unit (PIU), ensuring effective implementation of project activities, stakeholder engagement, compliance with project requirements, and achievement of project objectives.
2. Financial Management Specialist (1 Post)
The Financial Management Specialist will oversee budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, disbursement management, and audit coordination while ensuring compliance with all applicable financial management requirements.
3. Finance Officer (1 Post)
The Finance Officer will support financial management activities through transaction processing, financial record management, budget monitoring, reporting, and compliance with project financial procedures.
4. Procurement Specialist (1 Post)
The Procurement Specialist will lead all procurement activities, ensuring transparency, efficiency, and compliance with World Bank Procurement Regulations and project requirements.
5. Procurement Officer (1 Post)
The Procurement Officer will support procurement planning, process coordination, contract administration, records management, and procurement reporting.
6. Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist (1 Post)
The Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist will lead the project’s monitoring, evaluation, and learning functions, overseeing performance tracking, results measurement, reporting, and knowledge management systems.
7. Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Officer (1 Post)
The Officer will support data collection, verification, management, reporting, and performance tracking activities to ensure accurate monitoring of project outcomes.
8. Environmental and Social Specialist (1 Post)
The Environmental and Social Specialist will manage environmental and social risks, stakeholder engagement, grievance handling, and compliance with the World Bank Environmental and Social Framework and national regulations.
9. Internal Auditor (1 Post)
The Internal Auditor will provide independent assurance regarding internal controls, risk management systems, governance arrangements, financial processes, and compliance with project requirements.
10. ICT Officers (2 Posts – Unguja & Pemba)
The ICT Officers will provide technical support and manage information technology infrastructure, databases, cybersecurity systems, connectivity, and user support services.
11. Administration Officers (2 Posts – Unguja & Pemba)
The Administration Officers will provide administrative, logistical, operational, and records management support to facilitate smooth project implementation.
12. Hub Managers (2 Posts – Unguja & Pemba)
The Hub Managers will oversee project implementation within their respective hubs, coordinate stakeholders, ensure compliance with project requirements, and support the achievement of project targets.
